Photo: Rebecca Weissenburger.Rebecca Weissenburger, a native of New Jersey , learned at a young age to appreciate flowers. Her love was cultivated early on by her father and grandfather. Her grandfather encouraged his grandchildren to visit him in his extensive gardens. Her father was constantly growing blooms and new hybrid roses in his greenhouse. The family's backyard was filled with gardens of flowers and winding paths by her teen years, and the house had a variety of flowers year-round from the greenhouse or garden.

After Rebecca received her Bachelor of Science, she worked for an airline and traveled the world to experience different cultures, traditions and festivities. She eventually settled down and worked for Vera Wang in New York. Deciding cold New York winters weren’t for her, Rebecca settled in warm and sunny Southern California. She started at a flower shop, bought the company in 2000 and launched Washington Place Florals & Events.

Rebecca worked with an exclusive floral expert learning the different growers and seasons. The tutelage paid off; she is knowledgeable as to when flowers will be available fresh from Holland, France or New Zealand and if something is available locally or needs to be imported to create the arrangement of your dreams.

Working with Rebecca for your wedding or event will be a truly gratifying experience. She is very mindful of budgets and restrictions and she manages complicated family matters with grace. Rebecca feels her role is to make sure your special day is enjoyable for everyone, and she makes sure to manage even the smallest details so the only thing on your mind is walking down the aisle or visiting with your guests.

Rebecca has had the pleasure of working in some of the most exciting venues in LA as well as private homes as far north as Malibu and south to La Jolla. She has designed numerous events at Hotel Bel Air, Beverly Hills Hotel, Shutters, and Casa del Mar, to name a few and has also worked with other exceptional properties in the Los Angeles area.

Rebecca currently resides in Beverly Hills. She has two children and two dogs who help keep her grounded.
